Night Life

If you think the sites and�activities of this city are limited to the daytime, think again. Riga is a city that never sleeps. There are several pubs, discos, bars and more activity by night than during the day. The nightlife in Riga is regarded as one of the best in Eastern Europe.

Most of the night clubs start filling up from 9pm. Getting into several of the most happening clubs in town will require a cover charge and advance reservations are recommended. Apart from the major clubs there are several smaller clubs which hum with their own particular flavours. These clubs have hosted quite a few big names in the DJ world. Names like Lee Combs and Deep Dish have graced these clubs. There are several music bars that play different genres of music according to the ambiance of the bar. There are�separate�bars which play rock, blues, jazz and several other�genres. If none of this is your cup of tea then take a walk along the river or head for the Old Town. This part of town is generally fairly busy. There are several cafes and pubs on the streets of Old Riga. Most venues have outside seating as well. Some notable pubs in the area are the Orange bar, PuPu and the popular skyline bar located in the central district.
